1. A fingerprint sensor system comprising:
a substrate comprising:
an aperture extending from a top side to a bottom side of the substrate; and
a first multi-layer inductor encircling the aperture;
a cover layer:
arranged over the substrate; and
cooperating with the aperture of the substrate to define a housing;
a fingerprint reader:
arranged within the housing; and
configured to permeate through the cover layer to scan a fingerprint applied over the cover layer;
a first magnetic element:
defining a first polarity facing the first multi-layer inductor; and
configured to inductively couple the first multi-layer inductor responsive to application of a force on the cover layer; and
a controller configured to:
read a first set of electrical values from the first multi-layer inductor; and
at a first time, in response to detecting a first change in electrical value at the first multi-layer inductor based on the first set of electrical values:
register a first fingerprint input on the cover layer;
read a first set of fingerprint values from the fingerprint reader;
generate a first fingerprint image based on the first set of fingerprint values; and
in response to the first fingerprint image deviating from a target fingerprint image, trigger a first oscillating voltage across the first multi-layer inductor during a first haptic feedback cycle to induce alternating magnetic coupling between the first multi-layer inductor and the first magnetic element and oscillate the cover layer.
