1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
accessing a data file including subscriber data corresponding to one or more characteristics associated with at least one subscriber;
determining modification data associated with the data file, the modification data indicating a first amount of change to result from modifying previously stored data in a database based on the data file;
accessing a rule associated with a characteristic of the one or more characteristics;
determining, based at least in part on a source of the data file, a threshold associated with the rule, the threshold indicating a second amount of change that is determined to be permissible for the data file;
determining that the first amount of change is less than the threshold;
determining that the data file is valid based at least in part on determining that the first amount of change is less than the threshold; and
updating, in response to determining that the data file is valid, the database based at least in part on the data file.
