1. A processing apparatus for a vehicle provided with a control processing unit that executes control processing for controlling an operation of an electronic device by executing a first program, the processing apparatus comprising:
an update determination unit that determines whether or not to update the first program;
a stop determination unit that determines whether or not running of the vehicle is stopped if the update determination unit makes a determination to update the first program,
wherein, if the stop determination unit determines that running of the vehicle is stopped, the control processing unit executes the control processing by executing a second program, and a data amount of the second program is smaller than a data amount of the first program; and an angle determination unit that, if the update determination unit makes a determination to update the first program, determines a tilt angle formed by a travel direction of the vehicle and a horizontal plane,
wherein, if the stop determination unit determines that running of the vehicle is stopped, and the angle determination unit determines that the tilt angle is less than a predetermined value, the control processing unit executes the control processing by executing the second program.
