8. A method, comprising:
receiving, from a user, user input indicative of user credentials for the user;
verifying, by a computer system, the user credentials to determine whether the user is an authorized user;
subsequent to verifying the user credentials, providing, to the user, a map-based interface that is usable to access one or more of a plurality of digital signs;
receiving, from the user via the map-based interface, a selection of a particular geographic area;
in response to the selection, presenting, via the map-based interface, a subset of digital signs, from a set of the plurality of digital signs that are located in the particular geographic area, that the user is authorized to access;
receiving, via the map-based interface, a selection of a particular digital sign from the subset of digital signs;
receiving message information corresponding to a message to display on the particular digital sign, wherein the message information includes:
the message; and
an indication of a priority level of the message; and
interrupting content being displayed on the particular digital sign to cause the message to be displayed, on the particular digital sign, according to the priority level of the message.
