1. A valve assembly comprising:
a valve body having an inlet and an outlet;
a valve seat insert attached to the valve body between the inlet and the outlet;
a valve cap attached at an end of the valve body, the valve cap including a sensor and an indicator assembly, wherein the sensor includes a pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure change at the valve cap;
a disk positioned within the valve seat insert;
an adjustment gland located between the disk and the valve cap; and
a stem extending from the disk, through the adjustment gland, toward the indicator assembly;
wherein the valve seat insert is configured to release the disk when pressure at the inlet exceeds a threshold value,
wherein the disk is configured, when released, to move a section of the stem through the adjustment gland, and
wherein the indicator assembly is configured to provide an external indication of a valve opening when the disk is released from the valve seat insert.
