1. A system comprising:
one or more traction motors configured to propel a vehicle, the one or more traction motors configured to generate electric power during rollback of the vehicle down a grade; and
a compressor configured to be electrically coupled with the one or more traction motors and fluidly coupled to an air reservoir of the vehicle, the compressor configured to consume the electric power generated by the one or more traction motors during the rollback of the vehicle by generating compressed air that is supplied to the air reservoir.
