1. A method of recharging zirconium phosphate in a zirconium phosphate sorbent module, comprising the steps of:
flowing a brine solution through the zirconium phosphate sorbent module; and
flowing a disinfectant solution through the zirconium phosphate sorbent module after flowing the brine solution through the zirconium phosphate sorbent module.
