1. A method for a user to detect a lactate threshold using a system having a wearable chest belt, the chest belt having a device, said method comprising,
a) fitting the chest belt around the user's thorax with the device positioned on the user's chest under the user's pectoral muscles, said device comprised of
1) At least two electrodes electrically coupled to a signal analyzer, wherein said signal analyzer gathers, conditions, and digitizes a raw electrocardiogram high fidelity signal from the electrodes, thereby generating digital time domain electrocardiogram data,
2) wherein said device having a telemetry unit electrically coupled to said signal analyzer,
3) wherein said telemetry unit adapted to wirelessly transmit said digital time domain electrocardiogram data to said one or more processors of a smart phone,
4) a computer, smart watch, or other display device, said smart phone, computer, smart watch, or other display device configured to transform said digital time domain electrocardiogram data into frequency domain data,
b) initializing the system,
c) collecting a quantity of electrocardiogram time domain data, said quantity of electrocardiogram time domain data being three fourths of an amount of electrocardiogram time domain data required for determination of said lactate threshold,
d) collecting new electrocardiogram time domain data, said new electrocardiogram time domain data comprising one fourth of said amount of electrocardiogram time domain data required for determination of said lactate threshold,
e) transmitting said quantity of digital electrocardiogram time domain data and said new electrocardiogram time domain data to said one or more processors of said smart phone, said computer, smart watch, or other display device,
f) transforming said quantity of digital electrocardiogram time domain data and said new electrocardiogram time domain data into said frequency domain data with said one or more processors of said smart phone, said computer, smart watch, or other display device,
g) analyzing said frequency domain data to determine a number of major peaks from said frequency domain data, wherein said major peaks having >95% of a highest peak between 0.4 and 30 Hz, further wherein said major peaks comprised of fundamental cardiac spectral lines, harmonic cardiac spectral lines, and satellite heart rate variability spectral lines,
h) calculating said number of major peaks,
i) detecting said lactate threshold by detecting a minima in said number of major peaks,
j) displaying the detected lactate threshold.
