1. A device for a road side unit (RSU), the device comprising:
a sensor;
a memory capable of storing instructions; and
processing circuitry that, when in operation, is configured by the instructions to:
create sensor derived data, using data obtained from the sensor, that has a locality corresponding to a map tile; and
transmit the sensor derived data and the map tile to a vehicle navigating the locality to enable the vehicle to combine the sensor derived data and the map tile to create a modified map tile, and use the modified map tile in a control system of the vehicle.
