1. A method performed by a device for producing a dolly zoom effect, comprising:
capturing, with a camera on the device, an initial image including at least a foreground object and a background;
identifying a size of the foreground object in the initial image; and
calculating and automatically adjusting a focal length of the camera to maintain the size of the foreground object in subsequent images,
wherein for each of the subsequent images, the method further comprises:
calculating a change of foreground object size in a sensed image that is sensed by an image sensor of the camera;
automatically determining an adjusted focal length according to the change; and
capturing the sensed image as the subsequent image with the adjusted focal length.
