1. A system for modelling an industrial process using segmental analysis comprising:
one or more computers comprising one or more processors and one or more computer readable media, the one or more computer readable media comprising instructions stored thereon that when executed cause the one or more computers to:
create, by the one or more processors, a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a simulation canvas;
display, by the one or more processors, a model library comprising one or more model objects comprising a first element, a second element and a third element and/or a first segment and a second segment, each of the elements and segments being selectable by a user via the GUI;
import, by the one or more processors, a selection of one of the first, second or third elements and/or one of the first or second segments from the model library to the simulation canvas; and
enable, by the one or more processors, a connection of one of the first or second segments to one of the first, second or third elements on the simulation canvas, each of the first, second and third elements being configured to send one or more parameter inputs to one or more other elements connected by one of the first or second segments, wherein when the first element is connected to the second element by the first segment and the second element is connected to the third element by the second segment, the system is configured to send a first parameter input at the first element to the second element but not the third element;
receive, by the one or more processors, a first parameter input at the first element;
determine, by the one or more processor, a second parameter input for the second element by analyzing the first element and the first parameter input to generate a theoretical input; and
transmit, by the one or more processors, the determined second parameter to the second element using the first segment.
