1. A system configured for detecting a presence and/or a concentration of a gaseous substance in a metal organic framework comprising:
a metal organic framework configured to exhibit at least one electrical property responsive to exposure to a gaseous substance;
a sensor discriminator for detecting the gaseous substance, the sensor discriminator electrically coupled to the metal organic framework and comprising:
a power source;
a discrimination module comprising a comparator; and
a sensor simulator comprising at least one simulation component,
wherein the at least one simulation component simulates the metal organic framework under at least one simulation condition;
at least one processor; and
at least one memory, the at least one memory comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the sensor discriminator to perform operations comprising:
generating a discrimination pulse,
wherein the discrimination pulse comprises a first electrical pulse from the power source having passed through the metal organic framework,
generating a simulation pulse,
wherein the simulation pulse comprises a second electrical pulse from the power source having passed through the at least one simulation component of the sensor simulator,
perform, via the comparator of the discrimination module, a comparison of the discrimination pulse to the simulation pulse in respect of at least one electrical property,
wherein the at least one electrical property depends at least in part on at least one electrical parameter of the metal organic framework augmented by a presence and/or a concentration of the gaseous substance,
generate, via the discrimination module, a discriminator output comprising the comparison of the discrimination pulse to the simulation pulse and indicative of the presence and/or the concentration of the gaseous substance.
