1. A device, comprising:
a) a consumable-containing unit comprising compressed powder;
b) a susceptor embedded within the consumable-containing unit;
c) an encasement encasing the consumable-containing unit and the susceptor;
d) a housing to contain the encasement;
e) an inductive heating element configured and programmed to selectively heat the susceptor to a predetermined temperature, the predetermined temperature being sufficient to release aerosol from the compressed consumable-containing unit, wherein the predetermined temperature is from about 550 degrees C. to about 800 degrees C.
