1. A load control apparatus, comprising:
electrical load regulation circuitry; and
control circuitry communicatively coupled to the electrical load regulation circuitry, the control circuitry to:
maintain the electrical load regulation circuitry in a STANDBY state having a first power demand;
receive, via communicatively coupled sensor interface circuitry, at least one signal indicative of a presence of a system user;
responsive to receipt of the first signal indicative of the presence of the system user:
cause a transition of the electrical load regulation circuitry from the STANDBY state to a READY state, the READY state having a second power demand:
wherein the second power demand is greater than the first power demand; and
wherein the electrical load regulation circuitry maintains an operatively coupled electrical load device in an OFF operating state; and
initiate a READY state timer;
receive, via communicatively coupled user interface circuitry a second input signal indicative of a user interaction with the load control apparatus:
responsive to receipt of the second input signa indicative of the user interaction with the load control apparatus:
reset the READY state timer; and
cause a transition of the electrical load regulation circuitry from the READY state to an ON state, the ON state having a third power demand:
wherein the third power demand is greater than or equal to the second power demand; and
wherein the electrical load regulation circuitry transitions the operative coupled electrical load device from the OFF operating state to an ON operating state.
