1. A semiconductor apparatus comprising:
one or more substrates; and
logic coupled to the one or more substrates, the logic implemented at least partly in one or more of configurable logic or fixed-functionality hardware logic, the logic to:
detect a coarse pixel shading condition with respect to one or more frames in video content;
discard one or more pixel level samples associated with a coarse pixel when all mip data corresponding to the coarse pixel is in a shadow from a light source; and
temporally anti-alias the video content based on a blend operation.
