1. A tablet-based method for fabricating a suspension, comprising:
providing water in a container;
providing a tablet comprising a solid alkaline, a solid acid, and noble metal particles, the noble metal particles being selected from the group consisting of microparticles and nanoparticles; and
adding the tablet to the water to produce a reaction in the water resulting in the release of CO2 gas, the CO2 gas dispersing the noble metal particles in the water to provide the suspension,
wherein the noble metal particles are gold nanoparticles.
