1. A method of displaying an environment near a vehicle, the method comprising:
receiving, by one or more processors, data points generated by a lidar sensor representative of one or more objects in an external environment of the vehicle;
displaying, by the one or more processors, a scene including a representation of an environment near the vehicle; and
displaying, by the one or more processors, an animation in the scene, wherein the animation includes a pulse that makes temporarily visible on the scene a representation of at least one object of the one or more objects.
