1. A power supply apparatus comprising:
a power supply circuit configured to generate a bias voltage and output the bias voltage to a load, the power supply circuit being configured to output a determination signal and a detection current signal, the determination signal being binarized and representing a result obtained by comparing a voltage value according to the bias voltage with a threshold, the detection current signal indicating a current value of a load current flowing between the power supply circuit and the load, the load current flowing in response to outputting of the bias voltage to the load; and
a controller configured to control generation of the bias voltage generated by the power supply circuit, and determine a malfunction of the power supply circuit and an abnormality in the load, based on the determination signal and the detection current signal,
wherein:
the controller causes the power supply circuit to generate the bias voltage having a first voltage value at which the load current does not flow at a first timing, and causes the power supply circuit to generate the bias voltage having a second voltage value at which the load current flows at a second timing, and
the controller determines a malfunction of the power supply circuit and an abnormality in the load, based on the determination signal and the detection current signal at a third timing and the determination signal and the detection current signal at a fourth timing, the third timing being a timing during time in which the power supply circuit is caused to generate the bias voltage having the first voltage value, the fourth timing being a timing during time in which the power supply circuit is caused to generate the bias voltage having the second voltage value.
