1. A transport system comprising:
at least one transport module forming a transport path on which a carriage that transports a workpiece travels;
a control unit that controls a position of the carriage on the at least one transport module based on a drive instruction; and
a state detection unit that detects a position of the carriage and a position of the workpiece on the carriage,
wherein the control unit controls a stop position of the carriage based on the position of the carriage and the position of the workpiece on the carriage detected by the state detection unit.
