1. A method for a vehicle, comprising:
responsive to an output power limit of a battery being lower than a threshold power, selectively limiting a deliverable torque provided to vehicle wheels via an electric machine from the battery, the deliverable torque based on a driver torque demand.
18. A system for an electrically propelled vehicle, comprising:
an energy storage device supplying power to one or more electric machines;
a controller including executable instructions stored in non-transitory memory to:
during a first accelerator pedal tip-in when an output power limit of the energy storage device is lower than a threshold, deliver a reduced torque from the one or more electric machines to vehicle wheels, the reduced torque lower than a deliverable torque output from the electric machines.
