1. A process for regenerating a spent ionic liquid catalyst, the process comprising:
contacting the spent ionic liquid catalyst with a hydrogen in a reactor, the reactor operating at conditions sufficient to reduce a conjunct polymer in the spent ionic liquid catalyst to provide a regenerated ionic liquid catalyst, wherein the reactor is a flow-through reactor,
wherein an amount of the hydrogen is less than 97.96 m3/m3 of the spent ionic liquid catalyst.
