1. A system for facilitating communications between a network of sensors and an emergency dispatch center, the system comprising:
a first sensor belonging to a network of sensors, wherein the network of sensors is registered to a user and comprises a plurality of sensors, the first sensor configured to detect an emergency situation based on sensor data gathered by the first sensor;
a communication device, separate from the network of sensors, associated with the user and configured to receive an electronic communication regarding the emergency situation and initiate an emergency alert for the emergency situation; and
an emergency management system (EMS), configured to receive the emergency alert initiated by the communication device and, in response to receiving the emergency alert initiated by the communication device, transmit a request for emergency assistance regarding the emergency situation to an emergency dispatch center (EDC).
