1. A system located within an industrial facility, the system comprising:
a first sensor in the industrial facility, wherein the first sensor is configured to measure a chemical concentration;
a second sensor in the industrial facility, wherein the second sensor is configured to measure a wind direction; and
a programmer in communication with the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein the programmer includes a computer-readable medium having instructions that, when executed, causes the programmer to:
receive a first input from the first sensor;
based at least on the first input, automatically generate an initial action to facilitate determining a likelihood of an event occurrence;
receive a second input from the second sensor and in response to the generated initial action, wherein the second input facilitates determining the likelihood of the event occurrence; and
based at least on the first and second inputs, automatically generate a remedial action to mitigate an effect of the event occurrence.
