1. A distributed sensor system for detecting and classifying unmanned aerial systems, comprising:
a plurality of acoustic sensors,
wherein the plurality of acoustic sensors is configured to detect the unmanned aerial systems;
at least one processor; and
one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, perform a method of detecting and classifying the unmanned aerial systems, the method comprising:
receiving, from an acoustic sensor of the plurality of acoustic sensors, an acoustic signal from an unmanned aerial system;
analyzing the acoustic signal to determine characteristics of the unmanned aerial system;
wherein the characteristics include an estimated weight of the unmanned aerial system;
classifying the unmanned aerial system based on the characteristics; and
determining that the unmanned aerial system is a threat based on the classifying.
