1. A method, comprising:
generating, via a vehicle, a magic number if a download of an update to the vehicle is incomplete;
writing, via the vehicle, the magic number to a memory associated with the download;
resuming, via the vehicle, the download of the update at the memory; and
writing, via the vehicle, the download of the update to the memory based on a programming protocol selected by the vehicle.
