1. A method for circuitry, the method comprising:
receiving, with the circuitry configured therefor, an audio recording from a device associated with a user profile, wherein the audio recording is associated with a time-domain signal;
determining, with the circuitry configured therefor, a frequency domain representation of the audio recording based on the time-domain signal;
accessing, with the circuitry configured therefor, an application usage history comprising a plurality of media assets associated with the user profile, wherein each media asset of the plurality of media assets is associated with a respective media time-domain signal;
determining, with the circuitry configured therefor, a respective media frequency domain representation of each media asset of the plurality of media assets based on the respective media time-domain signal of each media asset of the plurality of media assets;
determining, with the circuitry configured therefor, a respective similarity metric for each media asset of the plurality of media assets based on comparing the frequency domain representation of the audio recording to the respective media frequency domain representation of each media asset of the plurality of media assets;
identifying, with the circuitry configured therefor, a matching media asset from the plurality of media assets based on the respective similarity metric of each media asset of the plurality of media assets; and
generating for display a recommendation of the matching media asset.
