1. A method comprising:
receiving, by an additive manufacturing apparatus, object model data for an object to be generated by the additive manufacturing apparatus, the object model data defining a first geometrical transformation and describing a geometry of the object unmodified by the first geometrical transformation, wherein the first geometrical transformation is based on either or both of a volume and a surface area of the object;
determining, by the additive manufacturing apparatus, that a second geometrical transformation is to be applied to the object model data in addition to the first geometrical transformation, wherein the second geometrical transformation is not particular to a geometry of any object and is based on either or both of characteristics of object generation by the additive manufacturing apparatus and a build material to be used in the object generation;
in response to determining that the second geometrical transformation is to be applied in addition to the first geometrical transformation, applying, by the additive manufacturing apparatus, the first and second geometrical transformations to the object model data to determine modified object model data for the object; and
generating, by the additive manufacturing apparatus, the object from the build material in accordance with the modified object model data.
