1. A modular heat exchange assembly comprising:
a fluid receiver unit comprising a receiver housing defining an inlet port and a first fluid connector fluidically coupled with the inlet port, wherein the first fluid connector defines a corresponding first aperture;
a fluid transfer unit comprising a transfer housing defining a segment of a first fluid passageway leading from the first fluid connector of the fluid receiver unit to a distribution manifold;
a cold plate coupled with the fluid transfer unit;
a compliant member positioned overtop the cold plate and defining an aperture, the cold plate defining a finned surface and a corresponding plurality of microchannels, wherein selected ones of the plurality of microchannels extend from a first end to an opposed second end and are fluidly coupled with the distribution manifold through the aperture in the compliant member, wherein
coolant received by the distribution manifold from the first fluid passageway enters the selected microchannels; and
a collection manifold configured to collect coolant from the selected microchannels, wherein the fluid transfer unit defines a second passageway that receives the collected coolant.
