13. A method of forming a drill bit, the method comprising:
securing a plurality of cutters at different positions on a bit body defining a bit axis;
identifying a cutter sweep profile for each cutter of the plurality of cutters, wherein each cutter sweep profile corresponds to a path of a respective cutting face of each cutter of the plurality of cutters;
identifying overlapping cutter sweep profiles to be defined by rotating the bit body about the bit axis, wherein two or more cutters of the plurality of cutter have at least partially overlapping cutter sweep profiles;
forming a shaped cutter comprising a cutting face with a recessed portion and a shaped portion, wherein the shaped portion includes a raised portion configured to engage a portion of uncut formation disposed between respective cutter sweep profiles of adjacent cutters, and wherein the shape of the shaped portion is bounded by the overlapping cutter sweep profiles of the adjacent cutters and an outer edge of the cutting face; and
securing the shaped cutter to the drill bit with the shaped portion of the shaped cutter aligned with the portion of uncut formation disposed between respective cutter sweep profiles of adjacent cutters.
