1. A stapled antimicrobial peptide consisting of the sequence FFRKSKEK-S5-GKE-S5-KRIV (SEQ ID NO: 1), wherein each S5 residue is alpha-4-n-pentenylalanine, and wherein the S5 residues combined form a C₁₀hydrocarbon staple.
