1. A control apparatus for an electric vehicle, the control apparatus comprising:
an engine;
a motor which is mechanically connected with the engine and generates electricity by being driven by the engine;
a battery which is electrically connected with the motor and is charged by electric power generated by the motor;
a first controller configured to drive the engine;
a second controller configured to drive the motor; and
a sensor configured to output an electric signal related to rotation of the motor to the second controller,
wherein the second controller is configured to
cause the motor to perform electricity generation driving while the engine is driven, and
adjust a stop position of the engine by causing the motor to perform power running after the motor finishes the electricity generation driving and before the engine is started again, wherein the stop position of the engine is changed by the motor at a timing when the revolution of the engine is stopped,
confirm a relative position relationship between a revolution position of the engine and a rotation position of the motor by acquiring information of the revolution position of the engine from the first controller during the electricity generation driving by the motor and monitor the revolution position of the engine during the electricity generation driving by the motor based on the confirmed relative position relationship and a signal from the sensor, and
check the stop position of the engine through the monitoring of the revolution position of the engine when the motor finishes the electricity generation driving.
