1. An electric vehicle comprising:
an engine;
a first generator driven by the engine;
a first rectifier circuit connected to the output of the first generator;
a first DC line to receive the DC output of the first rectifier circuit;
a driving motor connected to the first DC line;
a power converter configured to convert voltage of the first DC line;
a second DC line to receive the DC output subjected to voltage conversion by the power converter;
an auxiliary device connected to the second DC line;
a controller configured to control the power converter; and
a temperature detector that is mounted around the power converter, wherein
in response to the voltage of the first DC line becoming equal to or less than a first threshold, the controller controlling output power of the power converter to a preset rated power,
in response to the voltage of the first DC line becoming larger than the first threshold, the controller controlling output power of the power converter to be smaller than the rated power, and
the controller is configured to detect a temperature of the power converter using the temperature detector and is configured to reduce a value of the first threshold when an increase in temperature of the power converter is detected.
