1. A filter element comprising:
a first endplate;
a second endplate;
filter media positioned between the first endplate and the second endplate; and
a dual lip seal member coupled to the second endplate and disposed entirely on an outer radially-facing surface of the second endplate, the dual lip seal member comprising:
a first protrusion that extends radially outward around an outer surface of the dual lip seal member, the first protrusion defining a first axial end of the entire dual lip seal member that is axially closest to the filter media;
a second protrusion that extends radially outward around the outer surface of the dual lip seal member, the second protrusion defining a second axial end of the entire dual lip seal member that is axially farthest away from the filter media; and
a center portion disposed between the first protrusion and the second protrusion, the dual lip seal member configured to prevent fluid from exiting through a drain when the filter element is in an installed position within a housing and to permit residual fluid to exit through the drain when the filter element is displaced from the installed position.
