1. A method of adjusting portions of a surgical frame comprising:
supporting a patient support portion by a support platform, a first support portion, and a second support portion of the surgical frame, with the first support portion pivotably supporting a first portion of the patient support portion, the second support portion pivotably supporting a second portion of the patient support portion, and the first support portion and the second support portion spacing the patient support portion from the support platform, the support platform including a first end portion, a second end portion, and a translating beam extending between the first end portion and the second end portion,
supporting portions of a patient on the first portion and the second portion of the patient support portion;
pivoting the first portion and the second portion of the patient support portion about a single axis of rotation to pivot the patient between at least a first pivotal position and a second pivotal position relative to the support platform, the first support portion, and the second support portion; and
adjusting relative positions of the patient support portion and the translating beam between a first relative position and a second relative position;
wherein, when in the first relative position, a majority portion of the translating beam is positioned on a first side of the single axis of rotation, and when in the second relative position, the majority portion of translating beam is positioned on an opposite second side of the single axis of rotation.
