1. A method for implanting a sacroiliac joint implant system, comprising:
making an incision;
advancing a primary implant through the incision along an implantation path and into a sacroiliac joint of a patient, wherein the primary implant comprises:
a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end; and
a plurality of engagement features extending from the body;
advancing a secondary implant through the incision along the implantation path towards the sacroiliac joint, wherein the secondary implant comprises a first anchoring element and a second anchoring element;
anchoring the first anchoring element of the secondary implant into the sacrum of the patient; and
anchoring the second anchoring element of the secondary implant into the ilium of the patient; and
anchoring the primary implant within the sacroiliac joint so that the body is positioned at least partially between a sacrum and an ilium of the patient and the plurality of engagement features engage the sacrum and the ilium of the patient, wherein anchoring the primary implant comprises advancing the primary implant relative to the secondary implant while the first anchoring element of the secondary implant is anchored in the sacrum and the second anchoring element of the secondary implant is anchored in the ilium.
