1. A product, comprising:
nicotine, and
a compound of Formula (I), wherein the Formula (I) has the following structure,

or a salt thereof, wherein R is (C5-C12)-acyl, which optionally has 1 to 3 substituents, the R is not C8-acyl substituted by hydroxyl at either C6 or C7, and the product is a smokeless tobacco product with the nicotine disposed in a portion of the smokeless tobacco product the compound being present in the product in a concentration of 0.04% to 4.0% by weight.
