1. A system, comprising:
at least one memory that stores executable components; and
at least one processor, operatively coupled to the at least one memory, that executes the executable components, wherein the executable components comprise:
a communication component that facilitates direct bi-directional communication between a remote device and a navigation system based on enablement of an application that supports the direct bi-directional communication between the remote device and the navigation system;
a partition component that places information received from the remote device into a dedicated partition of a partition environment of the navigation system; and
an overlay component that selectively applies the information received from the remote device to the navigation system based on activation approval of the information, wherein the information from the remote device replaces other information stored in an active flight plan; and
a control component that controls an aircraft based on the active flight plan.
