13 Claims

1. A solid composition comprising:

at least 70 wt. % of an ethoxylated alcohol having a melting point higher than 20° C., based on the total weight of the solid composition, and described by the formula:

R¹[CH₂CH₂O]_zOH

wherein

R¹represents a linear or branched chain aliphatic hydrocarbon group with 14-20 carbon atoms or mixtures thereof, and

z has a value between 30 and 40; and

at least 5 wt. % of glycerol based on the total weight of the solid composition,

wherein the solid composition is an automatic dishwashing composition.
