1. A method for making a composite denture material, comprising:
mixing a powder comprising nanodiamonds having a particle size of about 20 to 40 nm with methyl methacrylate resin powder to form a mixture,
casting and polymerizing the mixture to form a denture base of the PMMA composite material, and
polishing the denture base;
wherein the PMMA composite material, comprises:
a poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) matrix, and
0.1 to 1.0 wt. % of the nanodiamonds based on a total weight of the PMMA composite material,
wherein the PMMA has a molecular weight of 50,000 to 1,000,000 g/mol,
wherein the PMMA composite material is porous having pores 80 to 100 μm in size,
wherein the nanodiamonds fill pores of the PMMA composite material,
where the nanodiamonds are only in the pores on the PMMA composite material, and
wherein the PMMA composite material has a surface roughness (Ra) of no more than 0.2 μm.
