1. A wristwatch, comprising:
a wristwatch housing;
a wrist strap coupled to the wristwatch housing;
a waveguide that is supported by the wristwatch housing and that has an output coupler;
a display device supported by the wristwatch housing for providing visual content to left and right eye boxes, wherein the left and right eye boxes are separated from the wristwatch housing by a physical distance; and
control circuitry configured to use the display device to display a left virtual image in the left eye box and a right virtual image in the right eye box that fuse to form a fused image at a virtual image distance from the left and right eye boxes that is greater than the physical distance.
