1. Access control electronics for wireless locks comprising:
a processor;
a proximity detection circuit operatively connected to the processor, wherein the proximity detection circuit includes at least one proximity sensor pad and a periodically enabled capacitive sensing circuit operatively connected to the at least one proximity sensor pad, wherein the periodically enabled capacitive sensing circuit and the at least one proximity sensor pad are configured tbr sensing a wireless transmitting device; and
at least one of a Bluetooth antenna and a short-range radio frequency antenna operatively connected to the processor for reading the wireless transmitting device.
