1. A method for efficiently using computing resources to process insurance claims, comprising:
receiving, via a communications network, vehicle data that comprises information about a vehicle and vehicle sensor data generated by a Global Positioning System (GPS) sensor associated with the vehicle;
determining, by a computing device connected to the communications network and based on a predictive payment model, a predicted future payment amount corresponding to a first claim for a customer, wherein the predictive payment model receives as input one or more loss attributes and at least one of the vehicle data and the vehicle sensor data;
predicting a customer type for the customer as either self-repair customer or turnkey customer; and
if the predicted customer type is turnkey customer, then:
sending, based on the predicted future payment amount, a first payment to a repair facility; and
receiving, from one or more repair facilities, repair data for one or more claims to repair an insured vehicle; or
if the predicted customer type is self-repair customer, then:
sending, based on the predicted future payment amount, a monetary payment to the customer.
