1. A WLAN system resource indication method, comprising:
generating, by an access point, a trigger frame that carries resource indication information; and
sending, by the access point, the trigger frame, the resource indication information comprising multiple pieces of sub resource indication information, each piece of the sub resource indication information comprising:
an identifier and frequency domain resource allocation information of one station;
the frequency domain resource allocation information comprises a first portion indicating an 80 MHz segment where a frequency domain resource unit (RU) is located, the 80 MHz segment being one of multiple 80 MHz segments of a bandwidth of the WLAN system; and
the frequency domain resource allocation information further comprises a second portion indicating a size and a location of the RU in the 80 MHz segment indicated by the first portion.
