1. A system comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage media communicatively coupled to the at least one processor, the at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving a request to update data relating to a timeshared residential property stored in a distributed ledger technology (DLT) network, wherein the timeshared residential property is shared by a plurality of share owners;
accessing the DLT network to update the data relating to the timeshared residential property stored on the DLT network in accordance with the request; and
upon updating the data relating to the timeshared residential property that is stored on the DLT network, automatically transmitting a control signal to one or more smart devices associated with the timeshared residential property, via a dedicated communication channel to ensure authenticity of the control signal, to transfer custody of the one or more smart devices from a first share owner of the plurality of share owners to a second share owner of the plurality of share owners in accordance with the updated data relating to the timeshared residential property that is stored on the DLT network, wherein transferring custody of the one or more smart devices associated with the timeshared residential property comprises automatically activating access authorization for the one or more smart devices from the first share owner to the second share owner by automatically updating user authentication information stored on the one or more smart devices from the first share owner to the second share owner.
