1. A coupling assembly for connecting a single lumen tube set to a trocar comprising:
a) a cylindrical connector defining an interior bore and having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart posts extending radially outwardly therefrom, wherein each post has a flat edge surface;
b) a coupler defining an interior flow passage and having a distal portion, a medial portion, and a proximal portion, wherein a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart generally J-shaped cam slots are formed in the distal portion of the coupler, each for receiving one of the posts of the connector, and wherein each cam slot has a flat end surface for mating with the flat edge surface of a post of the plurality of posts in a locked position; and
c) a single lumen tube extending into the interior flow passage of the coupler through the proximal portion thereof so that upon insertion of the connector into the distal portion of the coupler, the distal portion of the connector is pushed against a distal end of the tube to provide resistance to lock the posts in the cam slots.
