1. A method of controlling chromaticity of total light in a space, comprising:
generating, by a sensor system monitoring a space, a detected light signal comprising a controlled light signal component due to light produced by a plurality of controllable light sources illuminating the space and an uncontrolled light signal component due to light produced by at least one uncontrollable light source not under the control of the lighting system;
isolating the uncontrolled light signal component from the detected light signal based on electrical properties currently being used to control the plurality of controllable light sources;
dynamically calibrating the uncontrolled light signal component using a calibration table that is selected based on the uncontrolled light signal component; and
adjusting the electrical properties of the plurality of controllable light sources to approximate a target chromaticity based on the calibrated uncontrolled light signal component and the controlled light signal component.
