1. A photovoltaic battery cell information chip comprising:
a light powered array configured to receive light for powering the battery cell p-chip and addressing battery cell memory, wherein the battery cell memory comprises addressable memory that includes at least one of a crypto identifier and one time password;
a modulated light clock in communication with the light powered array for generating a modulated light signal based on the light received by the light powered array;
memory address circuitry configured to generate a battery cell ID memory address and a battery cell information memory address for addressable battery cell memory based on the modulated light signal;
an output driver configured to generate modulation data representative of the battery cell ID and the battery cell information stored at the battery cell ID memory address and the battery cell information memory address of the addressable battery cell memory;
a wireless transmitter configured to transmit the battery cell ID and battery cell information wirelessly based on the generated modulation data;
whereby the photovoltaic battery cell information chip enables tracking performance of individual battery cells using light.
