1. A display apparatus comprising:
a display panel including a plurality of pixels;
a gate driver configured to provide a gate signal to the display panel;
a data driver configured to provide a data signal to the display panel; and
a driving controller configured to control the gate driver and the data driver and to receive input image data to generate output image data corresponding to the data signal,
wherein the driving controller is configured to determine a scale factor based on a total load value of previous input image data, and to compare the current input image data with the previous input image data to determine whether to apply the scale factor to the current input image data,
wherein a comparison between the current input image data and the previous input image data is performed by comparing a total load value of the current input image data with the total load value of the previous input image data, and
wherein the driving controller applies a second reference scale factor to next pixel row data of the current input image data for a next pixel row next to a current pixel row to which current pixel row data of the current input image data is output when the difference between the total load value of the previous input image data and the total load value of the current input image data is out of a predetermined difference range and when an accumulated load value is less than a predetermined threshold load value.
