1. A gaming system comprising:
a processor;
a communication interface in communication with the processor and a plurality of gaming devices, each gaming device of the plurality of gaming devices associated with a respective player; and
a memory configured to store instructions thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
store a jackpot trigger condition in the memory, the jackpot trigger condition including at least one of a target quantity of winning game play outcomes, a target pattern of game symbols, and a target pattern of game play outcomes;
generate combined game play information by combining game play information for each of the gaming devices, the game play information including at least one of a game play event received by the communication interface and a randomly generated game play outcome for a respective one of the gaming devices;
perform a lookup within the memory of the jackpot trigger condition using the combined game play information, wherein the lookup includes comparing the combined game play information to the at least one of the target quantity of winning game play outcomes, the target pattern of game symbols, and the target pattern of game play outcomes, and wherein the jackpot trigger condition is satisfied based on the lookup;
and
cause display, in response to the jackpot trigger condition being satisfied, an award amount at a corresponding display device for each gaming device of a set of eligible gaming devices, the set of eligible gaming devices including at least one or more gaming devices of the plurality of gaming devices.
