1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
determining, by one or more servers, that a messaging thread is a highly active messaging thread based on a threshold activity requirement for highly active messaging threads;
generating, by the one or more servers, an activity score for a pair of users representing a likelihood that a first user of the pair of users and a second user of the pair of users will engage in the highly active messaging thread;
determining, based on the activity score, a messaging feature to promote for the first user to communicate with the second user utilizing the messaging feature within the highly active messaging thread; and
providing, based on determining the messaging feature, a selectable messaging feature element corresponding to the messaging feature for display via a client device of the first user.
